He is already learning about tracking!!
Jimmy started tracking training
at 3 months old with Gordon Cole.
He has discovered that if you
follow the scent of someone's footsteps
at the end of the track
there is a dump of "yummy stuff".

It is incredible how fast
a dog can discover the enjoyment
of "following your nose"!!
As Jimmy is as 'food-orientated'
As Jimmy is as 'food-orientated'
as his father Turnip,
this is one you-beaut game!
With plenty of practice,

He has also been to a couple of shows along the way,
but apparently they are a bit of a bore!!
Update on Jimmy
In August 2011, Jimmy had his first Tracking Trial.
He and Turnip were entered
in the State Tracking Trial at Bolinda.
Jimmy passed his Test 1 with a Grading of Very Good,
under judge Dawn Howard.
He had a known Tracklayer (Bev Reid).
He still thinks this game is wonderful!!
April 2012 Jimmy attended the Tracking Club
workshop at Shepparton.
This is what Jimmy lives for!
His first trial for 2012 will be at Haddon in May.
2013 Update
In August 2013 Jimmy passed his Test 6
to achieve his TDX title.
He tried for his Tracking Championship,
but unfortunately didn't manage a pass.
It is a well-known fact that BIG Merino sheep
will attack tricolor Basenjis!
Right?
We shall try again in the 2014 Tracking season.
