The day before he left to go back to America
Winning many Groups, and In Show wins in Australia, as well as being one of the few Basenjis to have achieved his Endurance title, Andie retired back to America with his breeder, Sue Campeau. Rather than rest on his laurels as the spoilt "house dog", Sue felt sure that he would enjoy both Lure Coursing, and the show ring.
Andie caused quite a sensation, both in the show ring, and the Lure Coursing fields.
He can now, rightly, be considered to be the top-winning brindle Basenji in the world.
In early September, 2007 - Andie won the final points for his Field Championship - winning a Best in Field - always running against the Open competition, rather than the Veteran fields, where he actually belonged.
He also finished his American Championship, winning several Majors on the way to his title.
Heather hopes to travel to the American Basenji National in 2008, to show Andie at that show in Dallas, Texas.
We have frozen semen available in Australia - for approved health tested bitches. They must also have had the DNA Linkage test for Fanconi, which is now available.
Andie will sire his first American offspring for his breeder this year.
